Mission Activities & Programs

In addition to our regular Bible classes, study groups, Vacation Bible School, and worship programs that serve Trinity’s mission of fostering our knowledge of and relationship with Christ, Trinity is also engaged in mission in several other ways. Several of these are listed below.
Lutheran Women  in Mission League - LWML
Lutheran Women in Mission is a major mission arm at Trinity. Meeting once a month for Bible study, our faithful ladies spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and also support missions around the globe by raising funds, organizing events, distributing literature, and studying and sharing the good news. Through their efforts, Trinity currently supports several missionaries overseas, contributes to the Panama Health Project, and that is only a part of what these wonderful ladies do. Ladies of all ages, come get involved and enjoy the events, the fellowship, and the mission of God with our Lutheran Women in Mission!
Helping Hands
Fueled by special donations from our church members, Trinity maintains a “Helping Hands” fund to assist those in our midst who need a little extra help. We have many needs presented to us on a monthly basis. Those interested should be advised that there is a mandatory application process handled by our elders according to their availability, so there are no guarantees, and assistance may take a few days’ time to process.
Food Pantries
Trinity takes up a monthly collection of food stuffs to deliver to various food pantries run by other churches and parachurch missions in Bonne Terre, Park Hills, and Potosi, as well as the food pantry supporting pastoral students and their families at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are trained to give companionship, prayer, and especially a listening ear to any who are struggling and would like someone to talk to. Trinity has several trained Stephen Ministers. If you or someone you know would be interested in talking to a Stephen Minister, call the church office at Trinity and ask to be connected.
St. Paul Lutheran Schools
Education is an important duty in training up the next generations to know and live the truth, and Trinity is pleased to support two fine Lutheran schools in the area, St. Paul Lutheran School and St. Paul Lutheran High school by giving some aid to members who attend and donating supplies.
